Briefs: Virginia teacher named 2018 Mitchell 1 ‘Educator of the Year’
A Virginia automotive technology instructor has captured a prestigious national award.
David Alspaugh (pictured left in photo), who is employed at the Advanced Technology Institute in Virginia Beach, was named the Mitchell 1 Educator of the Year during the 45th annual North American Council of Automotive Teachers conference in Pennsylvania.
The Mitchell 1 awards go to the nation’s top teachers for their commitment to educational excellence in the automotive repair industry.
For winning, Alspaugh received a check for $500, a recognition certificate and a one-year complimentary subscription to Mitchell 1’s ProDemand® diagnostic, estimating and auto repair information software for his school.
