Call for Candidates for the National Board of Directors

Any regular (shop) member interested in being considered for the Automotive Service Association (ASA) national board of directors should contact the national office and request a “consideration form.”

Forms must be completed and received by ASA no later than Monday, Aug. 11, 2014.

For 2015, the following board positions will be open:
• General Director (one position)
• Collision Division Director

ETI Will Meet In Detroit Too!

Another automotive industry organization will be joining Industry Week and NACE/CARS 2014 in Detroit this summer. The Equipment & Tool Institute (ETI) will hold its board meeting Tuesday, July 29, at The Westin Book Cadillac.

Dan Risley, ASA president and executive director, said ASA “is thrilled to have ETI join us in Detroit this year. This is a very important and respected organization and its support is significant to Industry Week. The overriding purpose of the event is to bring the industry together, and ETI’s involvement is another example of collaboration.”

Among other industry organizations that will be hosting meetings, events, and/or exhibit during Industry Week will be I-CAR, CIC, ASE, CEICA, NABC, SCRS, AMI, CCIF, OEM Collision Repair Roundtable, MERA and CREF.

NACE/CARS 2014 will be held July 30-Aug. 2 in Detroit

The Automotive Service Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association are joining forces to learn more about the shop owner/manager perspective in terms of preventive maintenance vehicle inspections.
