New content manager named for ASA
ASA has a new content manager.
Doug Myers, an experienced journalist, comes to ASA from KTXS Television in Abilene, Texas, where he served as Digital Media Manager for the past six years.
He is responsible for managing content for AutoInc. and other print and digital projects, including social media. His email is dougm@asashop.org, and his direct line is (817) 514-2916.
Myers replaces John Clark, who has served for the past three years as editor of AutoInc. and content manager in ASA’s Marketing and Communications Department.
Under Myers’ leadership at KTXS, the station’s digital news efforts received first-place Texas broadcaster awards from the Associated Press three of the past four years – in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
“We’re so pleased to have Doug’s digital experience, strong communications background, not to mention award-winning talents, as part of the ASA team. Doug is really passionate about bringing out the stories behind the brand, and I know that ASA will benefit from his skills,” said Leona Dalavai Scott, marketing and communications director.
Before joining KTXS, Myers worked for Texas newspapers in Cleburne, Texarkana, Baton Rouge, Stephenville and Abilene. He also served as director of communications for the Louisiana Department of Education while in Baton Rouge.
