THE Event for Repair Professionals

ASA is proud to present the world’s largest conference and exposition dedicated to the mechanical and collision repair industries. This year’s show offers more live demonstrations, tools, equipment and services on the exhibition floor than ever before. And because of this year’s location, there are more opportunities for hands-on training, education and certification than in years past.

Combine the NACE | CARS 2014 schedule with the activities of so many other industry groups and there’s something for everyone this summer in Detroit. Organizations co-locating various meetings and activities with CARS and NACE include ASE, I-CAR, the Collision Industry Conference (CIC), Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA), National Auto Body Council (NABC), Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF), and the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS). There also will be an OEM Roundtable, and the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) will also hold its graduation ceremony Friday, Aug. 1, as part of an industry awards function.

“Since NACE | CARS 2014 will be held in Motor City, original equipment manufacturers will have a bigger presence than ever,” said Dan Risley, ASA president and executive director. A must-see event, the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers will sponsor the inaugural Technology & Telematics Forum Expo Friday, Aug. 1. The Expo will include panel discussions with OEM experts, and product and application demonstrations.

In short, there will be numerous opportunities for technical training, business education, demonstrations, networking and technology showcases. Also extremely valuable to attendees is the Expo and its exhibitors’ showcase displaying the latest automotive service and repair equipment, products and services.

Detroit’s Cobo Center has undergone a $300 million renovation, and the venue is prepared to accommodate thousands of repairer-attendees when NACE | CARS 2014 opens in late July.

NACE | CARS 2014 will be an industry event no repairer should miss. We hope to see every member of ASA in Detroit this summer. And please be sure to stop by ASA’s booth to say hello! To register, visit www.CARSevent.com or www.NACEexpo.com.

MSO Symposium Rebranded with New Name

On the collision side, the MSO Symposium – which each year has been a sell-out success – returns, but with a new name: the Collision Repair Executives Symposium (CRES). The symposium will now cater to a broader group of collision repair executives, allowing it to be more inclusive of some of the best operators in the collision repair industry. It will include some changes in content, including a focus on operations and participation from insurance company executives presenting information on trends. No other industry event will do more to bring together the thought leaders in collision repair than CRES. It will cover business growth, insurance and collision industry trends, facility utilization, and mergers and acquisitions.
