ASA urging Missouri senators to oppose bill to eliminate state’s vehicle safety inspection program
WASHINGTON, D.C. – ASA is asking Missouri repairers and vehicle owners to urge their state senators to oppose House Bill 451, a proposal aimed at eliminating that state’s premier vehicle safety inspection program.
The Auto Care Association and Tire Industry Association have also made statements opposing the legislation. The three associations are longtime advocates of periodic motor vehicle safety inspection in states.

In recent letters to Missouri state lawmakers, the aftermarket trade organizations noted the importance of protecting the motoring public through periodic motor vehicle safety inspections and provided information that supports maintaining these programs.
