ASA admin named finalist for achiever award

Congrats are in order for Brenda Rodriguez, our NASTF membership administrator at ASA. Brenda was notified this week that she is a finalist for the Achiever Award in the 2018 Fort Worth Admin Awards.

Hard-working and conscientious, Brenda has worn many hats in her almost four years with ASA. She’s provided administrative assistance in multiple capacities to all of our departments: Membership Services, Marketing & Communications and Finance.

“Brenda’s value to our team is difficult to put into words, and using her job description as a foundation would be unfair,” said Dan Risley, ASA president and executive director. “It’s impossible, because her desire and willingness to help in any department based on the needs of the organization would require us to compile four or five different job descriptions into one. She is the first to offer assistance, and her talents allow her to be effective in any situation or role. It’s easy to say you are a ‘team player,’ but few can do it through pure actions. Brenda is one of those people.”

The Achiever Award recognizes a high-performing administrative professional who continuously performs difficult tasks and solves challenging problems through resourcefulness and perseverance. All of us at ASA know that Brenda fits these criteria – to a T.

“I was very excited to find out about this honor,” Brenda said. “As I tell my kids, ‘You can do anything you set your mind to.’”

Fort Worth Admin Award winners will be announced at a Dinner Gala May 17 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Good luck, Brenda!
