FlexCheck Auto: App launched to aid car repair shops with inspections
Pete Rudloff, who writes an “Ask Pete” column and other articles for AutoInc., has launched FlexCheck Auto, a phone app that works in conjunction with cloud-based desktop software to help shop owners with vehicle inspections.
“Most modern shops perform a courtesy inspection, some shops even charge for it every time a car is in for service,” Rudloff said. “FlexCheck Auto allows the shop owner or manager to standardize that process and make it so the tech can use a simple smart phone app to collect their findings.”
That includes collecting pictures and video that can then be shared with the service writer, Rudloff said. In turn, the service writer can create an estimate, turn that estimate into a report and email the report to the vehicle owner.
