AMi Update: 3 online courses available

Jeff Peevy

The Automotive Management Institute (AMi) now offers three online courses on the Mopar® wiTech™ 2.0 diagnostic system.

These courses, once only available to FCA dealers, may be accessed through the AMi learning portal and provide comprehensive information about the diagnostic program and its related components.

The online courses are as follows and may be accessed by clicking on each online course title:

wiTech™ 2.0 Fundamentals – teaches the proper identification of the components and purpose of the wiTECH™ 2.0 Scan Tool and outlines how to perform a complete setup of the Micropod II Unit as well the accurate description of the many functions that it performs.

wiTech™ 2.0 Flashing an ECU – teaches identification and types of Electronic Control Unit (ECU) flashes, the components needed for an ECU flash, and how flashes apply to a vehicle. In addition, the course teaches how to prepare a vehicle for an ECU software flash, perform both a new and an existing ECU software flash, and perform a radio software update.

wiTech™ 2.0 Flight Recordings – teaches how to perform flight recordings and flight recording setups as well as view and share flight recordings. Knowledge of this more advanced diagnostic process can be very beneficial to the proper repair of an FCA vehicle.

If you have not registered on AMi’s myAMI learning portal, you may do so by clicking HERE. When registering, be sure to choose your “repair segment” and an “area of interest.” Once complete, you can click on the course titles above or search “wiTech.”

This is the first time AMi has offered technical courses, ideal for technicians or anyone interested in learning more about a technical process. The courses are part of the FCA Certified Collision Repair training, but through AMi are available to anyone.
