Welcome to our first day of the NACE Online Daily News, an online report with coverage of seminars, keynote addresses and trade show activities from the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE).

Where else but NACE can the collision repair professional find all that he or she needs to operate a successful business – from its array of management, industry and technical seminars to a world-class exposition displaying the latest collision repair products, services, equipment and technology. This week, Las Vegas turns into the automotive aftermarket capital of the world. I’m personally excited about this week: In addition to all that NACE has to offer, we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of this world-class event!

Though the show floor hasn’t opened its doors yet, the Mandalay Bay Convention Center has been buzzing all day with technical and management classes, including this year’s inaugural Women’s Track sessions. We’ve also been treated to specialized training from I-CAR, as well as a panel this morning that examined what legislative issues will become the hot buttons for 2008 in the collision industry.

It is my pleasure, on behalf of AutoInc. magazine and ASA - the NACE show sponsor - to welcome you to Las Vegas and NACE 2007. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, which promises to be an even bigger success than today. Don’t miss it!

Sincerely,

Denise Caspersen
ASA's Collision
Division Manager
