ElderWelcome to the final issue of the 2006 NACE Online Daily News, the publication that delivers the most up-to-date news from the No. 1 global event for collision repair professionals. What a great event! NACE brought together more of the entire collision repair industry at one time, under one roof. And I consider myself fortunate to experience this year's show.

Once again, NACE has transcended all expectations. Between the management and technical courses, the I-CAR Technology Showcase, Troy Aikman's keynote address, OE Forum and the hundreds of exhibitors, NACE remains the pinnacle of the collision repair industry.

Today's Town Hall Breakfast tackled the problem of total loss and proved to be very informative. Total loss is an issue that the entire collision repair industry can deem important because is truly impacts the different industry segments. It was great to hear from all sides of the industry on this topic; from body shop representatives to information providers, insurance companies and the original equipment manufacturers.

The interactivity on the NACE show floor was unprecedented this year. The virtual reality competitions drew huge crowds. Many attendees participated in the Estimating Skills Station, allowing them to test their estimating skills. And let's not forget the Auto & Cycle Alley - a car show for the collision repair professional. It was great to see so many custom vehicles brought to the show by NACE attendees. I'd like to personally congratulate the winners of the competition. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off.

As I walked the show floor one last time today, it made me realize how fortunate we are to have NACE as part of Industry Week activities in Las Vegas. The networking opportunities available at NACE 2006 was incomparable, especially when you factor in the projected 150,000 automotive professionals that convened this week in Las Vegas. NACE definitely brought more to Vegas this year than ever before!

Although this year's show concludes today, the Online Daily News will remain active. Please log on to the NACE Online Daily Daily News Web site at www.NACENOW.com, or the official Web site of NACE (www.NACEexpo.com) anytime you're looking for information about NACE.

I look forward to seeing you again next year in Las Vegas at NACE 2007!

Sincerely,
Charlie Elder
