During Friday's NACE luncheon, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), presented this year's ASA-ASE Top Score Award. The award was presented to Jim Witt, owner of Jim's Collision in Roscommon, Mich.

The annual award recognizes the individual employed by an ASA member shop who had the highest score of the 2005 ASE master collision repair/refinish test. The award was presented by Darrell Amberson, ASA's collision division director. Tony Molla, vice president of communications for ASE, and Geralynn Kottschade, NACE chairman, was also present for the award presentation.

"Jim began his career as a young man and has grown into a successful and talented independent collision business owner with a desire to transfer his success to his children," said Amberson. "With actions speaking louder than words, Mr. Witt exhibits his character and integrity by devoting time and services to [his] community."
