A Grand Slam Session

The one thing Jim Morris wanted to do in life was play professional baseball. At Saturday morning's General Session, Morris spoke about achieving goals and never giving up on your life's aspirations. But Morris hasn't always lived by that philosophy. Although his Cinderella story inspired the movie "The Rookie," it wasn't until the age of 35 that he began to realize that going after your dream was paramount in life.

Today's Scrapbook

Saturday was the final day for exhibitors to demonstrate their products to NACE attendees.

This is one of three "Dragon Master" trucks, created by airbrush guru Mickey Harris. NACE was the first time where all three trucks were displayed together.

Some of the most popular features of NACE booths are the custom cars displayed.

Welcome to the final issue of the 2004 NACE Online Daily News, published by AutoInc. magazine and the Automotive Service Association.

Once again, NACE has surpassed all expectations. The past few days have been non-stop! Between the management and technical courses, Action Demonstrations, keynote addresses and the more than 2,000 exhibitor booths, NACE truly offered something for everyone in the collision repair industry. And anyone who attended NACE 2004 will certainly bring something beneficial to his or her business.

As the show concluded today, it marked the end of 22 years of NACE success. We are fortunate to have NACE be a part of Industry Week activities in Las Vegas. The networking opportunities available at NACE 2004 was incomparable, especially when you factor in the projected 150,000 automotive professionals that convened this week in Las Vegas. A new era for NACE began this year, and it definitely provided a win-win situation for everyone. Where else can you find so many dedicated collision professionals that together for four days of networking and educational opportunities? The benefits of NACE were insurmountable.

Although this year's show concludes today, the Online Daily News will remain active. Please log on to the new Web site for the NACE Online Daily News (www.NACENOW.com or the official Web site of NACE (www.NACEexpo.com) anytime you're looking for information about NACE.

I look forward to seeing you next year in Las Vegas at NACE 2005!

Sincerely,

Geralynn Kottschade
ASA Chairman
