Looking for more value from your Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) trip? Explore the add-on educational events offered by I-CAR, PCI and/or ASE classes on top of the already comprehensive NACE and CARS education sessions available to attendees.
Co-located at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nov., 4-7, during the second annual ASRW, the upcoming International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS) offer automotive service and repair professionals bigger value for their investments than ever before.
• I-CAR – a long-time educational partner of NACE – has benefited thousands of shop managers, techs and industry leaders by helping them achieve I-CAR Platinum individual status, as well as their businesses to become Gold Class Professionals. The training being offered by I-CAR at this year’s event features two premier courses that include “Damage Analysis of Advanced Automotive Systems” (DAM07) and “Collision Repair for General Motors Vehicles” (GEN03) – both offered two times (Wed., Nov. 4 and Sat., Nov. 7) to allow for scheduling flexibility. In addition, four other I-CAR courses round-out their program including “Overview of Cycle Time Improvements for the Collision Repair Process” (CYC01); “Vehicle Technology and Trends 2010” (NEW10); “Collision Repair for Select Vehicles” (POP01); and “Waterborne Products, Systems, and Application” (REF07). Tickets for each individual course are available for purchase at $85 per person.
Free I-CAR training is available on the show floor in the I-CAR Technology Showcase with a total of eight daily clinics scheduled throughout the three-day expo focusing on new technology and repair methods.
• Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) is presenting its annual class, “Insurance and Auto Repair: Issues 2010,” on Wednesday, Nov. 4. The session provides a look at the legislative and regulatory issues concerning both the insurance and auto repair industries. Tickets are available for purchase at $50 per person.
• ASE – a trusted name industry-wide – is providing free classes to help attendees strengthen their test-taking skills and better their chances of passing upcoming ASE certification tests. The ASE Test Prep classes are being held on Fri., Nov. 6 and Sat., Nov. 7 with two class times each for collision- and mechanical-focused attendees.
