The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be conducting two training sessions in the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) Educational Theater. Agency representatives will be holding sessions on Thursday, Nov. 5, and Saturday, Nov. 7. The educational panels will discuss compliance and teach hands-on spray gun techniques.
Those who attend the full EPA training session on the 6H Rule and pass a quiz to demonstrate their knowledge will receive a certificate of completion. Attendees can use these certificates as evidence that they have participated in training on the provisions of the rule and are working toward compliance.
The EPA is attending NACE to promote the “Paint Stripping and Miscellaneous Surface Coating Operations: National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants” rule. These free educational sessions are another component to the agency’s Collision Repair Campaign (CRC), an industry outreach program designed to familiarize collision repair facilities with the requirements of the new paint regulations.
Representatives will be making compliance information available as well as their DVD on rule requirements and management practices featuring Jeff Gordon.
Be sure to stop by the ASA booth #N8601 for the scheduled times EPA representatives will be available on the trade show floor to speak one-on-one with attendees. These informative one-hour sessions will be held each day of the Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) Expo.
