In the past, technicians mixed filler materials by hand, which was time consuming, led to inconsistent mixing, pinholes, and wasted materials. 3M is changing the dent repair landscape with the Dynamic Mixing System (DMS), a pneumatic, hand-held applicator gun that uses a nozzle with tornado-like mixing action. Easy to use, this self-contained system blends filler and glaze with the correct amount of creme hardener, and dispenses it on demand – eliminating waste, saving time, and dramatically reducing pinholes.
The dent repair process has changed very little over the past 50 years. With the introduction of the Dynamic Mixing System (DMS), we are taking a whole new approach, focusing on not just the product, but also the process. With DMS, technicians can get “Filler On Demand” – where they want it, when they want it, in just the amount they need. |
