LAS VEGAS — Bosch Wheel Service has introduced its fully automatic NTF Nitrogen Tire Filling System (NTF). According to the company, the NTF is a user-friendly and easy-to-use unit that quickly fills four vehicle tires simultaneously, saving time and making a shop more efficient and productive.
For years, aircraft, racecars and over-the-road trucks have used nitrogen in tires because the larger nitrogen molecules do not permeate tire liners as quickly as smaller oxygen molecules. Properly inflated tires save fuel and also increase handling and comfort, while running cooler. All this results in longer tire life.
Designed for automatic use, a technician simply hooks up the hoses to the vehicle’s tires and programs the unit. The machine deflates and then fills the vehicle’s tires with nitrogen. With the optional “dually” hose installed, the unit can fill more than four tires at the same time, making it even more productive. The system also has a single-fill hose with gauge to easily add nitrogen to a single tire.
One of the most time-saving optional features to help increase shop productivity, says Bosch, is the Technician Notification System, which allows the technician to walk away and work on another vehicle while the unit operates automatically. When the fill is complete, the system alerts the user. The unit’s integrated rechargeable battery provides power for a full day’s use and also allows the technician take the unit outside the service bay.
To ensure long machine life and optimal nitrogen purity, the NTF 715 includes an advanced filtration system on the market. Four filters – a water separator, oil separator, carbon filter bed and fine particulate filter – all help reduce contaminants reaching the 5.1 CFM, fully-aged, large bore membrane. This membrane is the key to the NTF 715’s high throughput and efficiency, adds Bosch.
The NTF 715 Portable Nitrogen Tire Filling System is part of the company’s full product line of wheel service equipment.
