ASA Announces New Agreement with Worldwide Connectors
New Marketing Prospecting, Retention Program Through MotorVehicleConnectors.com

MotorVehicleConnectors.comThe Automotive Service Association (ASA) is announcing the launch of its newest member benefit agreement with Worldwide Connectors. Through this agreement, ASA members will have free access to MotorVehicleConnectors.com, a website serving as a marketing prospecting program that focuses on the new and used car sales market and is dedicated to the independent repair shop.

MotorVehicleConnectors.com offers exclusive rights to a minimum of five ZIP code territories where shop owners have the opportunity to reach buyers and sellers in the new and used car markets - reported to be two of the most underutilized marketing segments in the industry.

"For the first time, this program combines prospecting and retention marketing at the same time," said George Zabrecky, Worldwide Connectors CEO. "It helps keep your customers from trading in their cars, and it identifies prospects through the process of searching for a new or used vehicle."

To take advantage of this member benefit, or to learn more about Worldwide Connectors or MotorVehicleConnectors.com, call the ASA membership department at (800) 272-7467, ext. 295, or log in to ASA's entire benefits portfolio in the ASA Marketplace at http://ASA.bizunite.com.

Linda Viar Ivanowski, left, celebrates her installation as president of ASA-Georgia with her parents.

Last August, Linda Viar Ivanowski became the first woman to serve as ASA-Georgia state president - 50 years after her father, Howard Viar Sr., served in that same capacity. Viar's father-in-law opened Hollingsworth Auto Service back in 1917.

Ivanowski became involved in ASA in 2001 when she served as vice president of Hollingsworth Auto Service after the death of her brother. Viar became one of the founding members of IGO/GA in the 1950s, which then became the Automotive Service Council (ASC) and eventually came to be known as ASA.

Ivanowski served as secretary of ASA-Georgia's Savannah chapter in 2001 and in 2008 she became the president of the Savannah chapter and served in that capacity until July 2010.

At the ASA-Georgia and ASA-South Carolina annual meeting held in Hilton Head, S.C., Linda's parents, two sons and their wives, along with a new grandson, were in attendance for her installation as ASA-Georgia president. Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive, conducted the installation of Ivanowski and the other ASA-Georgia officers.
