Eight ASA Shops Among Top 10
ASA members rock! Motor Age magazine has named its Top 10 shops for 2010, and eight of the 10 are ASA members.
Congratulations to the eight ASA member-shops receiving the magazine's Top 10 honor: Rad Air Complete Car Care, Parma Heights, Ohio; Salem Boys Auto, Tempe, Ariz.; Virginia Auto Service, Phoenix; Hires Automotive Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Downing Street Garage, Denver; Pellman's Automotive Service, Boulder, Colo.; Precision Imports, Manchester, N.H.; and CARS - California Auto Repair and Smog, Redding, Calif.

Voting Opens Jan. 3
Don't forget: Voting starts Jan. 3 for you and other members of ASA to elect two general directors to the national board of directors.
Voting will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week until Feb. 28. All regular members in good standing with ASA will be eligible to cast their vote. Watch for more information in the January and February issues of AutoInc.
iATN Base Offers 3 Million+ Records
The International Automotive Technicians' Network recently exceeded 3 million records in its knowledge base, a collection of automotive repair databases that contains real-world technical information generated by iATN members.
Information is based on actual repair discussions of iATN members working on vehicles in the shop. iATN's more than 72,000 members collectively share approximately 1.6 million years of experience.

Robert O'Connor of R.L. O'Connor & Associates Inc. in Federal Way, Wash., has received the Automotive Management Institute's most prestigious honor: the AMI Annual Recognition Award.
The award is presented to an organization or individual who has taken specific and significant action to encourage, enhance and support opportunities for automotive service industry professionals to improve their management and business skills.
Minnesota Member Earns BBB Integrity Award |
Longtime ASA member-shop Lehman's Garage in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn., area has earned a Better Business Bureau (BBB) Integrity Award. BBB Integrity Awards are presented each year to companies that exemplify ethical behavior and display integrity in all aspects of their operations - toward their employees, vendors, customers and within their community. Companies must also uphold BBB standards. Winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges.
The Category III honor for businesses with 51-99 employees was presented to Lehman's Garage in Bloomington for providing quality service to its auto body, service, glass and dent removal customers. Lehman's also has locations in Chaska, Eagan, Minneapolis and Savage. ASA board member Darrell Amberson, AAM, is president of Lehman's Garage.
