Lehman's Raises $5,220 For Patients, CaregiversLehman's Garage in Bloom_ington, Minn., held a classic car show July 25 that raised $5,220 for the Twin Cities Hope Lodge near the University of Minnesota Medical Center campus. Hope Lodge, which was built by the medical center and the American Cancer Society, provides a place to stay, free of charge, for cancer patients and their caregivers. The award is open to all collision repair instructors teaching at career and technical schools and colleges that use the I-CAR Live Curriculum. Members of the industry and fellow educators can nominate an instructor for the award by visiting www.ed-foundation.org and downloading the I-CAR Education Foundation Instructor of the Year Award application. Collision repair instructors are welcome to nominate themselves for the award as well. 15 Arizona Shops Earn AAA Top Shop AwardFifteen ASA-member shops in Arizona have earned AAA Arizona Top Shop Awards. NASTF to Meet Nov. 3 in Las VegasThe National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) has announced that its fall meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 1:30 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The meeting will be held just prior to the International Autobody Congress and Exhibition (NACE) and Congress of Automotive Repair Services (CARS) trade shows. In addition to the regular committee and organization reports, the meeting agenda includes an update and discussion on the state of the industry and a panel on "Non-key code uses for the Secure Data Release Model." Charlie Gorman, chairman of NASTF, said: "The fall NASTF general meeting is usually well-attended due to its proximity to NACE and CARS. Given the current economic conditions and dramatic changes in the marketplace over the past year, we're looking forward to some lively input and discussion at this gathering and encourage every service professional attending AAPEX, SEMA, NACE or CARS to join us."
