ASA Members Can Expect Positive Things this YearPosted 2/2/2009
Lots of dealerships with repair shops, both collision and mechanical, have closed - so all of these factory-trained techs are now available and could make great employees for your business. Also, the vehicles those dealers serviced are now available for you to service and repair. Now is not the time to cut back on your marketing plan, so go after these new customers. These customers are keeping their vehicles longer and will need to get them serviced and repaired. Your shop made it through 2008, so you are ready for great things to come in 2009. Be prepared for the additional business with the proper staff, training and tools to make it happen. You can make 2009 the best year ever, so rely on ASA and all of the vendors that ASA has enlisted to help you achieve your goals in 2009. (See the full list of ASA's benefit providers by clicking here.) The nation is looking to the new administration in Washington, D.C., to make things better for everyone. Oh, by the way, have you voted for your board of director representatives? If not, please vote by Feb. 28, 2009. The results of the board elections will be announced at ASA's annual convention in Orlando, Fla., this spring. I hope to see you there April 30 through May 2, 2009. The ideas and information you take away from this event is just one more way your association can help you keep your business healthy and growing.
