Members Can Save with Avis The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced a new member benefit agreement with Avis that allows members convenient access to money-saving coupons on top of special weekend, weekly and monthly rates. Discounts will be available at participating Avis locations. Using their association ID number, ASA members may access coupons through a link in the Members Only section of the ASA Web site and then present the printed coupon with their next Avis rental to save money. Avis has created a special Web page for ASA members, enhancing the convenience of making reservations, finding rental locations, acquiring maps and driving directions, and other travel tools. ASE Upgrades Its Web Site It now features more streamlined navigation, with content organized more intuitively into key interest areas. The new hierarchy-based design facilitates easy access to the newly defined categories of Explore Certification, Register to Test, Prepare to Test, and Other Programs. The redesign also enables quick access to the increasingly popular myASE service. Using myASE, professionals can view certification status and history online, as well as update their mailing address, view test registrations and review work experience status. Talk Show for Shops Available "Showcase," an online talk show for shop owners, debuted in August. The show is said to provide no-travel networking and peer-based educational opportunities for shop owners. Host of the program is Gary Gunn, AAM, founder of Automotive Service Leaders. He has led hundreds of conferences for shop owner education and has provided an environment for shop owners' success in business since 1979. He is an Automotive Management Institute instructor.
