ASA Affiliate Enjoys Day of Shotgun Fun
ASA-Nebraska Hosts Leadership Conference
ASA-Nebraska hosted its "Powerfully Positive Leadership" conference April 4 at Harrah's Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The business meeting gave the affiliate an opportunity to invite non-ASA members to observe ASA's full potential.
Herb Anderson, a representative of Alldata, spoke to approximately 35 attendees on the subject of leadership and what it takes to be a leader. Anderson also discussed how to use one's expertise to make each day better than the day before.
"The conference was very successful," said Jennah Haase, ASA-Nebraska executive director. "We got the ASA name out to some nonmember shops, and our speaker was great. We also had great response from our sponsor, AutoZone. It was a fun night."
ASA-Nebraska holds a regular business meeting the first Wednesday of each month. Be sure to register for its upcoming ASA-Nebraska annual convention and the Direction '07 meetings in October. For more information on any of the ASA-Nebraska events, contact Jennah Haase at (402) 540-8055 or visit www.ASAnebraska.com.
Reminder of the Month: Chairman's Club
Look Who's in the Running for an Expense-Paid Trip to CARS or NACE
No one can recruit another shop into your trade association better than you. That's why the Chairman's Club has always been an integral part of the Automotive Service Association's membership recruitment program. For every application processed at the national office that is submitted by a regular member, that member earns five points.
The member with the most points Sept. 14, 2007, will receive an expense-paid* trip to CARS or NACE. In the case of a tie, a drawing will be held to determine the winner. To be eligible for the trip you must have a minimum of 50 points.
*Expenses covered - round-trip airline ticket plus registration to the event and four nights in a hotel. Food and beverage are the responsibility of the winner. All accommodations must be arranged by ASA.
