CARS Web Site Goes Live - Register Now
This year's CARS will offer 12 technical courses and three Automotive Management Institute (AMI) seminars. Speakers and instructors will include Jim Linder, Bruce Amacker, Jeff Masterman, Chris Chesney, Kelly Bennett, Bob Greenwood and Charlie Polston. In addition, Tom Easton, senior partner, Essential Action Design Group, will provide attendees the keynote address and Howard Lewis, owner of L&B Auto Repair, Snohomish, Wash. and past ASA chairman, will serve as the CARS 2006 chairman. Representatives from AC Delco, Vetronix and GM Training provided attendees with updates on various topics including online training, capabilities of the Mastertek and AC Delco alternators and starters. "We had a good turnout. The chapter and AC Delco will likely sponsor an additional meeting in the fall," said Rob Burtch, ASA-Denton chapter president and ASA-Texas president. ASA Offers Scholarship Opportunities ASA currently offers five scholarship opportunities to assist automotive repair professionals interested in obtaining management training from the Automotive Management Institute (AMI). These scholarships provide assistance to industry professionals desiring to attend either the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) or the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE).
