Technician Training to be Held in Texas
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas, is offering an automotive emissions repair training course.
This 40-hour program in Advanced Repair Technician Training is designed to acquaint the technician with the recently identified skills and knowledge pertinent to the repair of the various emissions modules. Classes are taught by ASE L1 certified instructors using the new dynamometer and state-approved curriculum.
The course includes instruction in diagnosis and repair of emission control systems with emphasis on the application of advanced diagnostic information, tools and techniques. It will also include the use of advanced tools and equipment as applied to the diagnosis of emission systems.
This course will be held at the Tarrant County College South Campus on Mondays and Wednesdays, Jan. 30-March 1, 2006, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Course cost is $300 per student. The first 80 students who pass this course with an 80 percent or higher grade will receive a $240 tuition refund.

Reminder of the Month
The Automotive Service Association's board of director elections will be held Jan. 2 to Feb. 28, 2006. The official notification of ASA members seeking board positions appears on page 42. All regular members in good standing with ASA are eligible to cast their vote for the position of ASA general director. The positions of collision and mechanical division directors are elected by their respective divisions only. Members were assigned to the appropriate divisions based on information provided by the member when they joined the association.
