More than 60 exhibitors were on-hand at the Service Professionals Industry Reception at CARS. The reception provided exhibitors and service professionals the opportunity to network, as well as enjoy good food and have fun. |

Howard Lewis, CARS 2006 chairman, welcomed attendees during Saturday's keynote
luncheon at the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS). Lewis stressed to attendees why it's so important to get involved in ASA as well as their community. "As an organization, ASA works hard to assist members - and that's just one reason why it's so important to get involved and stay involved," Lewis said.

Tom Easton, senior partner with Essential Action Design Group, presented his keynote address during Saturday's luncheon. In "The Future is Getting Closer at CARS," Easton talked about customer service, how to maneuver in the "River of Change," and getting employees to embrace change and the fabric of success.

CARS hosted a shop licensing forum Nov. 1 at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Charlie Elder, AAM, served as moderator of a six-person panel that gave its views on the pros and cons of shop licensing.
